Have you ever had tickets for choir concerts in Orange County? If you have been so lucky, or been to one of the free lunchtime concerts in a city hall, you will know what a choir concert can do. Apart from the singers’ and musicians’ incredible talent, the sound of the music and orchestra is just so good for the soul. Singing benefits both the singer and the audience. A choir, and I know some of us really did not want to join the school choir, can be magnificent. Recently I got stuck by a river waiting for the water level to drop and some of our party, all choir members, sang while we waited. It was a memorable experience, so much so that I became a member of the choir. Not to sing, but to listen. And I am so glad I did.
Join your national orchestra
You can join your national orchestra to listen to choir concerts and it does not cost anything to join or become a member. Of course, you can also sign up to sing which is a different process but a beautiful process nonetheless. After my river/choir experience, I joined our local orchestra and now I get regular notifications about when the choir is singing and where they are singing. Sometimes tickets are expensive and sometimes they are brilliantly priced and sometimes they are free! I go to concerts when I can and this is what I know. I know that listening to a choir sing, sometimes accompanied by an orchestra and sometimes not, gives me peace of mind. I know the music transports me. I know my worries disappear and my anxiety is forgotten. I know I get great pleasure from listening to this kind of music. And I know that choir concerts in Orange County are available to us all.
