Hunting
As a hog, coyote, deer or turkey hunter, you will always look for ways to take the lead. It will not take you long to appreciate the benefits of using the right thermal imaging equipment. One of the top benefits of using a thermal imaging device is the ability to enter the woods and exit without spooking deer.
You will get into the woods, scan with your thermal monocular and when approaching your stand, if you see a deer, you will just stop and lean on a stone or a tree or sit on the ground until the deer leaves. Without this ability to see properly in the dark, you would not have a clue that the deer was anywhere around you and you would be climbing into your stand with the sounds of a running deer.
With the right thermal monocular, this will never happen to you. Likewise, when the sun goes down, you will always scan before exiting the stand. There have been a lot of nights where hunters sit in the dark for fifteen minutes until a deer exists in their area. But with the right night vision equipment giving you vision where you previously did not have any form of vision, deer will no longer be aware of your location because you know they are close by and you do not make noise to alert them.

A thermal monocular comes in very handy when tracking or trailing a deer. If you have ever shot a deer in the dark, you know that it can be very challenging to track it. If you made a nice shot at the deer, the thermal monocular will save you a lot of time. You should get on the trail as you normally do but you should also use the monocular to scan the direction that the deer ran towards. You will be very surprised at how efficient your tracking will become when you use a thermal monocular. I have seen people call for help to track deer simply because they know their friends have a thermal monocular.
Locating turkeys more easily
Hunting turkey is one of the best things a hunter can do. There is nothing better than watching a huge gobbler strut. There is also nothing more depressing than failing to locate any birds. A thermal monocular will give you the heads up in a scenario where you know where turkeys roost.
Scanning for coyotes and hogs
A thermal monocular for hunting can also be used to scan for and locate hogs and coyotes at night. You will sit with your gun on the tripod and use your thermal monocular for locating and scanning.
